You might already know what Lead Magnets are. Lead Magnets are basically something that we give for free just to attract people into our world. Now when I say attract, I don't mean it like a clickbait or an attraction bait but it is definitely a great tool to attract people in your world by sharing something for free.
Now this free is not generic free information but something that's valuable, something that's solving problems of people. Normally people no matter how much money they are making would love to explore the free world. They love to see others' opinions on things. How are others doing things? How are others solving the problem? And that's why there's a high chance that you would have almost everyone signing up for free things.
You might even end up attracting people whom you would have never thought would sign up for a free thing. These Lead Magnets actually help you grow your business very fast. Now when I say fast, if you're new and if you're really trying to make your space in the industry, I mean in the online coaching industry, if you're really trying to make a space there, if you're really trying to have a mark there, start sharing free knowledge.
People have to know you, people have to know your ways, people have to know your methodologies, people have to know how you work. And when you share all of this, people start trusting you, people start knowing you for the work you do. It is not just a matter of knowing you but it is a matter of knowing you for the work you do and how you can help them.

The first important thing Lead Magnets do is attract qualified leads. Yes, there is no better thing that could attract people into your world than a free thing. A free thing has the least resistance for people to sign up. A free thing has the least resistance from people to trade their email ID form. And that's why if you have a free thing, you're going to attract a lot of leads.
Now as I said, it's not just a matter of attracting leads, but it's a matter of attracting qualified leads. Now, if you want qualified leads, your Lead Magnets have to be specific. Your Lead Magnets have to be highly potent, and highly valuable. So also the Lead Magnet opt-in pages wherein you display what's included, how it is, the presentation, everything has to be that appealing to your qualified leads.
Now, if your Lead Magnets are very much aligned with the transformation you do, very much specific to the value you are doing, you would have qualified leads coming in. If your Lead Magnets are generic, then you might have to worry about having anyone and everyone entering your emails.
But if your Lead Magnets are specific, the message is specific and right speaking to your people, you will have all your people on your list. And from the back end, you can actually do automation to qualify people, such as tripwire automation, or convert your Lead Magnet into a Lead Magnet funnel. That's up to you. But a Lead Magnet has a high potential to attract qualified leads into your world.
The second thing is building trust and authority. You need to show people how you can help them, what you can do for them, and what is in store for them with you. And all things could be done with a very valuable Lead Magnet. It's the easiest way for people to peek into your world and see what you do, understand your way of working, understand how you can help them and why they need to work with you.
And if you remember, I keep saying this every time, when someone signs up to receive something from you, they already see you as an authority. It's a different game on social media. It's a different game on emails. We follow when we are mutual friends, we follow each other. But when someone enters your email list, at that instant, you become an authority because they have signed up to receive something from you. So a great Lead Magnet actually helps you build trust and authority.
When you give people the value that they need, you solve the problems, you show them how you work. It's actually building trust. So your Lead Magnet is actually building relationships with all your potential clients. Lead Magnets have great people in your world and you would see your authority increased, people trusting you and there would be no resistance to buy from you.
The third thing, growing your email list quickly. Every business needs an email list. You know that and you agree with me. An email list is the greatest asset in your business wherein you can sell your offers and you can show your authority. Email list actually plays a very important role in the growth of a business.
So I'm not saying an email list is the only way but an email list is one of the best ways to grow your business. And Lead Magnets can actually help you just do that. The fourth is segmenting your audience. We all know the importance of segmenting our audience. If you are in a broader category of work, if you do only one specific thing in your work, it might be okay to go without segmenting. But most businesses need segmenting. Now, I do work on different things. I do work helping people grow with social media and somewhere off social media as well.
If I could segment the list between those interested in social media and those who want to go off social media and I present offers exactly what they need, imagine how much more the convergence would be. The same thing is true for your business. If your business could segment people into different topics or different tags based on their interests, you would see higher engagement and higher conversion and this can be very easily done with Lead Magnets.
Just have your Lead Magnets for the different segments that you work in your business and people signing up for those Lead Magnets could be tagged accordingly. It's going to help you understand your audience better. It's going to help you present offers to your audience better and actually over the period get more sales from your list.
And the last thing for our topic today is driving sales and conversion. We kind of ignore Lead Magnets thinking they are just a free thing. But no, they are the door, the entry door for people in your world. Your Lead Magnets attract people into your world and now once they are in it's how you serve them that makes them upgrade with you and stay long-term with you.

It might be a little extra work that you do, but you would see leads and sales coming in on repeat forever for your business.
